YES! Please click here to watch a video titled: "How it Works" and learn how to properly set up and install the TRACS portable air purifier. The Owner's Manual can be downloaded by clicking here: TRACS TM-950-P-UVC Owner's Manual
No tools are required! You can change the filters and lamps in only a few minutes by removing the rear panel with 2 thumbscrews and sliding the filters and lamps in and out. Please wear masks and gloves and treat the spent filters as medical waste, placing immediately in a secure plastic bag.
The carbon pre-filter is changed every 6 months (or every month if used in a medical environment). The HEPA filter is changed when the indicator light on the front of the unit is illuminated...usually 2-4 years, depending on usage. The UV-C lamps are recommended to be changed once a year. Although the lamps may remain lit after 1 year, the effectiveness is reduced significantly beginning at the one-year point.
The system treats 250 cubic feet per minute on the highest speed setting and ideally, you want to achieve 3-5 air exchanges per hour in the area you are using the system. In a typical home (assuming approximately 10 foot high ceiling), this equates out to be around ~1000 square feet or less.
No. The TRACS® Portable 3-Stage Air Purification System employs UV-C light with a wavelength of 254 nm, which is outside of the ozone producing range.
We have a UV-C light and yes it can be turned on and off. We are the only air purification system with UV-C light which has all the internal seams “caulked” to ensure there is no bypass around the HEPA filter.
UV-C Lights or germicidal UV are at a much more specific wavelength than what is termed “UV” broadly, which encompasses the wavelengths of 100-380 nm. UV-C are low-pressure lamps, more like a fluorescent lamp, with a specific wavelength of 253.7 nm (1182.5 THz). Our UV-C lights have a wavelength of 254 nm, which is outside of the ozone producing range.
Our UV-C lights are located on the dirty (inlet) side of the HEPA filter to destroy airborne viruses, bacteria, mold, and more. Also, safety switches ensure the UV-C light cannot turn on if the unit is opened, making the TRACS® Portable UV-C Air Purifier safe for adults, children, and pets!

Based on studies we've done on cost-analysis, the average increase in costs would be around $10/month with the system on 24/7 (Depending on your local rates).
We do not make any COVID-19 claims in any of the content. The truth is there is limited data on COVID-19. Our technology is over two decades old and was originally designed and still used by the US military for decontamination. In terms of UV-C treatment, it has been proven to be effective at the destruction of coronaviruses. A case study conducted at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) findings suggests that the use of overhead far-UVC light in hospitals, doctors’ offices, schools, airports, airplanes, and other public spaces could provide a powerful check on seasonal influenza epidemics, as well as influenza pandemics. If you would like links to this study and others like it, please email us at support@tracspurifiers.com
70 decibels on high and barely audible on the lower settings!
The system is about 15” wide by 15” deep and sits 19” high.
When selecting an air purifier for pet dander removal, it is important to get a purifier with a HEPA filter. A HEPA filter is a certified filter that is able to remove particulate matter at a 99.97 percent efficiency, removing allergens that are as small as 0.3 microns in size or larger. This is important for pet dander and hair removal as pet dander is a small allergen that is smaller than 10 microns in size. The TRACS air purifier has a medical-grade HEPA filter that captures 99.99% of particles (such as pet dander).
The TRACS® Pre-Filter will last approximately 6 months.
The medical-grade HEPA filter will last approximately 2 years.
The UV-C bulbs will last approximately 18 months.
Actual lifetime is dependent on environmental conditions and chemical pollution concentration present in the environment it is used in.

Our system is equipped with one of the larger HEPA filters on the market, which means it can trap more dander and particulates with fewer change-outs. Also, we do not release any chemicals or byproducts in your air making it safe for you and your birds as well.
The system has 4 speeds. They are 85 CFM, 150 CFM, 200 CFM, and 250 CFM.
No tools are necessary to set up the system.
Many air purifiers focus on particulate removal and neglect proper chemical neutralization. The TRACS® system combines particulate removal and chemical neutralization into 1 system. Please see our Data & Analysis page for more information.
Yes, we offer a full 30-day money back guarantee on all TRACS® purchases.
Often you can start to notice improvements within hours, but depending on the environmental conditions and contamination level it may be faster or longer.
Yes. the TRACS CarbonWeb uses activated carbon to remove VOC's, Chemical odors, and Fragrances. Also removes marijuana smoke and wildfire smoke completely.

No. We do not use any ionizer technology, nor do we emit any chemicals or charged particles into the environment.
Yes, it is completely safe to be in the room while it is on. Our unit is designed with a powder-coated metal that does not emit any by-products. The UV unit is composed of UV-C lights at the 254 nm wavelength (outside of the ozone-producing range) that shines directly onto the collection side of the HEPA filter, treating the particles at a maximum exposure and increasing deactivation efficiency.
